Explaining Thermostatic Controls

Thermostatic controls are HVAC controls that let end-users control their heating and cooling by setting the temperature the system should reach and maintain.

Once the HVAC system -- or its VAV air diffuser -- reach that temperature point, the system will adjust, perhaps by reducing its air conditioning or cutting the supply of fresh air.

The benefit of thermostatic controls is that it helps lower energy usage by ensuring that your HVAC system is not operating at higher outputs when it’s not needed.
